We are an Alaskan family who tries to live life to the fullest by spending as much time as we can exploring Interior rivers in the summer and the backwoods in the winter. We also love cheering on our kids in their sporting ventures (hockey, baseball & curling) & following the Alaska Nanooks hockey team.

Piper's First Day (by Piper)
1/11/10 This morning our flight was fun! We just had fish&chips for dinner, very good :) Tomorrow we are going downtown. We are going to the pin trading at the Coca Cola Center tomorrow. Mom and I are going to try to get some Olympic mittens also. That's it for today!!!!!!
Made it to Vancouver!
Easy road trip north to Vancouver (after requisite stop at REI of course!) after picking up the car from Michele. Border crossing was FAST (at least 10 lanes, all but 1 were unoccupied), got a bit turned around trying to get to the duty free shop, but found our place using a "creative" route. Perfect little place - remodeled apartment building that's nice, quiet, and a very friendly host, Ashley. Everything's unpacked and we have the Alaska flag hanging in the window. Time to go find something for dinner and locate the nearest package store.
Seattle
IN SEATTLE. HIT REI & HAD LUNCH AT SANDWICH SHOP. CAPS LOCK STUCK ON. WILL HAVE TO FIX THAT. OFF TO THE BORDER!
